All paintings will be hung for sale, with all proceeds going to the artist. We need artists to spend some time at the exhibit . You may sign for a time when paintings are delivered. Also any artist that would like to do a demo sometime during festival is encouraged to do so. Please let us know in case several would like to paint.

Need inspiration?

Paintings are to be done within the city limits of Olathe. There are a number of good locations that we would suggest but not limited to these.

  • Older homes that surround the downtown area and including public buildings

  • Ernie Miller Park located on Hwy 7 (north side of Olathe)

  • Cedar Lake south of 151st on Lone Elm

  • Lake Olathe west on Dennis Ave, or west on Santa Fe has an entrance
(there is a nice little bridge on Dennis and an old rock house)

  • Frisco Lakes 100 East Dennis...this lake usually has geese and ducks

  • Mahaffie Farm 1200 Kansas City Road (NW corner of Ridgeview and KC Road)
  • To paint at Mahaffie Farm, please call first 913-971-5111.
Ask for Liz, tell them you are painting for the Festival and they will waive the admission fee.
